Oscar the Caterpillar learns that one day he will emerge a beautiful butterfly. His friend the bookworm convinces him that Mexico is a great place for butterflies. Oscar works really hard to study and learn Spanish for his trip to Mexico only to emerge from his cocoon with a desire to hang around lightbulbs and to gnaw on cotton clothing. Poor Oscar didn't get the big beautiful wings of a butterfly, but became a moth instead. This is a really funny book with a very sweet message.
